Michal Starke is extraordinary professor at the Department of Czech language at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.
Michal’s linguistic research on a variety of typologically diverse languages spans topics in syntax, morphology and their interfaces with interpretive systems. After publishing groundbreaking research on pronouns and their structural typology, Michal is now doing work in Nanosyntax, a novel approach to morphosyntax which he founded.
